Thirteen documents. One hundred and thirty years.
For more than a century, the Naval War College has educated leaders, helped define the future Navy, and influenced maritime affairs the world over. In 2014 and 2015, the College celebrates the 130th anniversaries of its founding and of its first class. To help commemorate the history and achievements of the world’s oldest naval war college, the Naval Historical Collection offers this selection of thirteen documents from the College archives. Each document illuminates one piece of the story of the Naval War College with the hope of encouraging further research into the growth and evolution of “the Navy’s Home of Thought.”
